Laboratory biorisk management (CWA 15793) is a global agreement in which government agencies, biosafety organizations, research institutes and biotechnology industries provide a common approach to manage biorisks. Implementation of CWA 15793 enables a continuous improvement process and it is applicable to all organizations handling biological agents and/or toxins.
Guidelines for the implementation of CWA 15793 (CWA16393) is a support document developed to facilitate the use and implementation of CWA 15793. The document presents specific requirements of the CWA 15793 in a detailed manner.
Säkra biorisker (Securing biorisks) is a self-assessment tool developed by the Public Health Agency of Sweden making it possible to evaluate compliance with the requirements within the five areas: Policy, Planning, Implementation and operation, Checking and corrective action, and Review.
